Highlightreels
MPskin allows you to create as many highlightreels as you like—for example, to showcase different areas of a space.
Incorporate different media types such as videos, PDFs, or external links to make your guided tours even more engaging.
Unlike Matterport, MPskin allows you to create multiple highlightreels for a single space - for example, different reels for different areas of the space.
Each highlightreel also has its own share link, which can be used to embed the reels in the menu, in tags, or as a click action.
In addition to the individual guided tour locations, MPskin also allows other media types to be incorporated into your guided tours. Images, videos, audio files, PDFs, external links, or HTML features - the possibilities are almost limitless!
As always, all types of content can be added in multiple languages.
In addition to standard settings such as rotation angle and rotation direction, different display durations can also be configured for each reel item. Furthermore, you can choose from three different transition types: “Fly,” “Instant,” and “Walkthrough.”
Each reel can even be assigned an individual icon - for example, the customer’s logo.

To do this, go to “Settings < Codes < Visibility” and set the “Matterport Highlight reel” setting to “On.”
In the same tab, you will find additional configuration options specifically for the Matterport Guided Tour at the bottom right under “Matterport Guided Tours / Walkthrough.”
These settings apply exclusively to the Matterport Guided Tour, not to MPskin highlight reels.
Under “Settings < Codes < All guided tours / Walkthrough,” you will find the “Play at start” setting.
There, you can also specify a time in seconds after which the highlightreel will start automatically.
If you have created multiple highlight reels, the reel listed first will always be played when automatic playback is enabled.
You can adjust the order of the highlight reels in the corresponding tab.
This is because Matterport uses a special transition mode for its own guided tours - unfortunately, SDK users such as MPskin do not have access to this mode. As a result, transitions in MPskin look slightly different than in Matterport.
If you prefer the look of Matterport Guided Tours, you can also use them in MPskin. To do so, simply activate them under “Settings < Codes < Visibility” – they will then be displayed 1:1 as in Matterport.

In the Highlightreel tab, you can select a reel and copy the reel link under “Edit < Share.” This link can then be integrated (like deeplinks) into the menu, tags, as a sweep action, or as a click action.
Yes, that is possible.
Simply select the corresponding reel item, click on “Edit,” and upload an image of your choice under “Thumbnail/Preview Image.”
